December 6, 2002
Dear Members,
The meeting held at the Missouri Hospital Association
80th Anniversary Annual Convention and Trade Show, November 6-8,
2002 was not well attended by the MSHFM membership. On Thursday
November 6th MSHFM held board meeting starting at 9:30 a.m. and
a general membership meeting at 3 p.m.
- Weldon Evans – Inducted as President
for 2003 ( President Elect 2004 – Doug Ruble )
- The MSHFM By-laws were approved by the board.
- Announced that MSHFM received a Gold award from
ASHE for outstanding chapter leadership in 2001.
- Planning for future events and meetings were discussed.
A new planning committee will be formed in February 2003.
- A complimentary 2003 ASHE Annual Conference and
Trade Show registration was awarded to Mike Bock, Secretary MSHFM
for his continued involvement and support of the organization.
MSHFM provided two educational sessions during the
day on Thursday at the convention. Troy Martin, our ASHE District
8 Representative was scheduled to open the educational sessions
but had a conflict and was unable to attend. Dan Eckles gave a presentation
on the “Design Consideration for Materials Management”
which was very well attended. Eric Kirberg provided an afternoon
presentation on “Health Care Roof Design, Installation and
Life Cycle Costs – The Hidden Asset” and it also had
a good crowd.
If you would like to have information regarding each
presentation please contact Dan Eckles, ACI/Boland, Inc. at 573-635-9816
or Eric Kirberg, Kirberg Roofing at 314-534-7504.
I want you all to know that it was a pleasure serving
as President for the organization through the end of 2001 and all
of 2002. It is my hope that all MSHFM members will continue to provide
the much appreciated support to Weldon in 2003 that was shown to
me in 2002. I want to thank all of the vendors who participated
with MSHFM in all of the events held through 2002 and planned for
2003. The vendor support and continued dedication to the organization
is a key to MSHFM success.
Have a Safe and Happy Holiday,
Doug Ruble, CPE, CPMM, RHSO
President MSHFM
