NEW BUSINESS

ASHE Conference will be held the last week of July in Nashville.  MSHFM has won a Gold Award.  This entitles MSHFM to 2-3 free memberships and 2-3 attendances at ASHE Conference.  Doug and Weldon will be attending.

Doug will send a letter to vice presidents of facilities/chief operating officers in an attempt to build membership.  He will explain the benefits of the chapter and ASHE participation.

Dan Eckles has agreed to be our morning speakers at the annual Tan-Tar-A convention in November.  We still need an afternoon speaker for Nov. 7th.  The 7th is our meeting.  Doug needs to have afternoon speaker by Monday, June 17th.

Nomination for officers next year needed.  Will send letter requesting nominations and note nomination form available on website.

Need speakers for the September meeting.  Let Doug know if you have someone in mind.

Dan Eckles gave update on Nov. meeting, “What’s to come in Health Care Construction”.  Dan would like to be a member of the committee that has developed the guidelines for design and construction of healthcare facilities.  Dan thinks that Missouri could likely adopt these guidelines as 22 other States have.

The group made a motion to have Dan represent our group.  All were in favor.  Dan will see what is needed from our chapter.  Doug will provide whatever is needed to support Dan in this effort.
