MSHFM Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order by the president, Weldon Evans at 10:15 am.

Treasurer report shows $10,045.25 as of April 30, 2003.

Weldon has two speakers for Tan-Tar-A: 1. Construction Management; 2. Program on Bio Med Engineering Recruitment, PM Procedures/Systems.

Custodial staffing and standards program at Tan-Tar-A will cost an estimated $2,000, $1450 for program plus expenses. Group approved for Weldon to contact company. Weldon also will send letter to all CEO’s regarding programs we will offer.

Weldon sent letter to ASHE. We will be getting the Gold Award again this year.

Weldon will send letter to membership regarding teleconference as option to attending meetings at Jefferson City.

It was noted that MHA is offering programs on Hazardous Material Clean Up and Decontamination. Weldon will send out information on these programs.

Our speaker, Bruce W. Clements, MPH, Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Bioterrorism at St. Louis University, gave an excellent presentation on biological and chemical terrorism/preparedness.
