MSHFM Board Meeting
May 11, 2000
University Hospital & Clinics
MSHFM President Don Stevens called
the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. Minutes from the February 3 meeting
were approved.
Treasurers report was that total
assets were $9,871.40. Dottie Thompson will see how many members
have yet to pay dues this year.
Don is working on setting up a teleconference
at Columbia with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations to review codes during our August 10 meeting. This
still is pending. It may require a $10 charge to cover the cost
of the program. More to come on this. Dave Potter from BJC, our
District 8 ASHE Representative, will be attending our August meeting
in Columbia to discuss ASHE issues, etc. We plan to have lunch at
a local winery to wrap up the day.
Toby Gilk gave the group an update
on our MSHFM Web page. Toby walked through the Web page and brought
up the discussion of sponsorship to finance the Web page as much
as possible. Kent Hayes made a motion that we sell Web site sponsorships
to nonmembers for $50 per month and $35 for members preferably
in quarterly increments. The motion was approved. Several members
already had spoken with supporters; they seem to be willing to support
our Web page.
Anyone who hasnt given Dottie
their e-mail address was asked to do so in order for it to be included
in our directory of members on our Web site.
Web page address is www.mshfm.org.

We still need ideas for speakers at
Tan-Tar-A November 8-10. Please contact Don if you have any ideas.
Don has tickets to the Kansas Chapter
Trade Show taking place May 17-18 for anyone that wanted them.
Kent Hayes informed the group that
if anyone had questions about ASHE, i.e. changes, etc., let him
know.
NOTE: We need to update the MSHFM
Officers and Board of Directors that went out with last months
minutes.
