Business Meeting and Educational Event
Tan-Tar-A Resort 2006 MHA Convention

Business Meeting:

• Business Meeting – Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 7:30AM
• Treasurers Report – Total Fund Balance $11,667.50
• ASHE Group Award Criteria - A discussion was held regarding the new criteria for receiving a gold award from AHSE. The group reviewed each requirement for submission for the award and identified that each had been achieved over the past year.
• Election Results – A report was given by Mike Bock regarding the election of group officers for 2007. Dan Boeckman will serve as President 07, Mike Bock will serve a President Elect 07 / Past President and Doug Ruble will serve as a Director on the MSHFM Board.
• BYLAWS – The Board reviewed and approved the MSHFM BYLAWS
• Board and Educational Meetings – The Board discussed the meeting schedule for 2007 and the potential educational events to be held. The Board approved having a golf outing / Professional Speaker on August 6, 2007, the past event was a huge success. The other meeting dates are as follows:
  1. February 2, 2007 – MHA
  2. May 4, 2007 – MHA
  3. August 6, 2007 – Golf Outing Location TBD
  4. November 8, 2007 – Tan-Tar-A
• Membership Meeting – The Board discussed the proposed meeting dates with all members present and requested ideas for educational programs. Mike Bock requested that all members access the MSHFM Web site regarding education presentations and group information. The following educational opportunities were submitted and will be evaluated for 2007:
  1. Emergency Preparedness – NIMS
  2. I.T. Infrastructures for the future.
  3. BJC Power Outage – Lessons Learned
  4. Benchmarking
  5. Property Management
  6. EOC JACHO Updates
  7. AIA Healthcare Design Guidelines

Educational Session 10:30AM:

• Mike Bock addressed the attendees thanking them for their participation and sponsorship.
• Mike Bock introduced the educational session speaker Scott Miller – Principal/Architect with ACI-Boland who provided the presentation “ Private Patient Rooms of the Future ”
• Mike Bock invited the membership to a Hospitality Suite sponsored by MSHFM at 4pm.

Meeting Adjournment – Mike Bock adjourned the meeting at 1pm.
