MSHFM Board Meeting
May 20, 2005

The meeting was called to order by the president/elect, Mike Bock at 10:00AM

Financial – Treasurer reported $5,257.24

The group discussed several ideas to improve attendance:
1. Schedule one year in advance meeting dates
2. Agenda to include half-hour social/networking, half-hour business meeting, one hour morning education session and afternoon education session
3. Continue quarterly meeting
4. Increase education quality of programs
5. Newsletters to members
6. Program committee
7. Involve Paul Guptil (MHA) in lining up of presenters.

Other improvements included keeping membership updated on latest ASHE news.

Region 8 (ASHE) election is coming up. Must be a member since July in order to vote. Troy Martin running for president of Region 8.

Morning speakers were Daryl Klinge and Bill Thompson from Centimark Corp. Their presentation “Centimark Roofing” gave an excellent overview of the different types of roofing, i.e., EPDM, thermoplastic, metal, modified bitumen, built-up roofs. Also discussed were the pros/cons of each. Centimark is a “one-stop shop” as they evaluate roofs, install and warranty. Centimark offers free assessments of facility roofing systems, payment terms and interest free.

The group toured Lake Regional Hospital.
