MSHFM Board Meeting Present: Mike Bock, St. Marys Health Center Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Financial – Treasurer reported Total Capital and Assets of $ 4970.03 Special thanks were given to Bob Black for providing the location for the combined meeting of the MSHFM and Kansas City Hospital Engineers. Mike Bock discussed future MSHFM meeting venues, events and educational programs. The next MSHFM meetings will be held on May 5, August 4, and November 9, 2006. Bob Black discussed ASHE membership and the professional and educational opportunities / advantages of multiple memberships in regional, State and National healthcare engineering groups. Mike Bock then yielded the floor to Bob Black for introduction of the educational program presenter Dean Samet. The JCAHO approach to Environments of Care LSC review of facilities in the new “unannounced visit” process was discussed. A discussion was held regarding the advocacy process and the positive outcomes achieved by ASHE. The group broke for lunch at noon and the MSHFM Board discussed the MSHFM meeting to be held on August 4, 2006 in Columbia, Missouri. A golf outing and presentation by Doug Erickson are in the planning stages. The educational program continued at 1PM with a presentation provided by Bob Black, Capital Performance Management, regarding Property Management for Healthcare providers. Following the presentation the meeting was adjourned at 2:00PM and attendees were invited to tour the new additions at Heartland. Minutes respectfully submitted by |
