MSHFM Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order by the president, Day Eyerly

Financial – Treasurer reported $4,670.06.

The group discussed the following topics:
1. ASHE “Fire Damper Testing Defeated” – It pays for members to reply with comments when we have the opportunity to voice issues on proposed changes to code requirements.
2. Future presentation – roof types
3. Discussed St. Marys tobacco-free environment and how the transition was going.
4. JCAHO survey process with ASHE-trained surveyors – Those surveyed felt that the process/knowledge of surveys has improved.
5. Discussed JCAHO’s new tracer process. Facilities should have in-house teams using the process to verify readiness for JCAHO.
6. Hot work above ceiling “work permits” required. This is good practice

Next meeting is May 20th and the location will be announced later, possibly at Doug Ruble’s facility in Hannibal.

The group toured HVAC Solutions demo trailer to see new products. Group also toured SMHC facility.
